In the dashboard
----------------

Site admins create groups under **User Groups > Add New**. A group has:

- **Title** and **content** (shown on the group's About tab)
- **Featured image**
- **Categories** and **tags** (used by the directory filters)
- **Privacy**: Public, Private or Hidden, in the **Group Settings** box
- **Add Members**: users to add straight away (or, on a hidden group, to invite)

From the front end
------------------

Users whose role is in **Allow users to create Groups** (under **Users > Settings > Groups**) can create groups from the site. By default that's administrators only.

They'll see a **Create a Group** link above the group directory, and a **Create Group** button on the Groups tab of their own profile. Both go to `yoursite.com/groups/new/`, where "groups" is the plural name set in the settings. Logged-out visitors are sent to log in first.

The form has:

- **Name** (required)
- **Description**
- **Image**: JPG or PNG
- **Category**
- **Tags**: one per line
- **Privacy**: Public, Private or Hidden

The person who creates the group becomes its admin. If something's wrong (for example an image that isn't a JPG or PNG), the form shows the error and nothing is created.
