WPUM 2.0.0 Beta now available for testing

WP User Manager Published on May 29, 2018

A few months ago I shared a news where I announced that development of WP User Manager was back on track starting with a complete rewrite of the whole plugin.

Today I’m excited to announce that a beta of WP User Manager v2.0.0 is now available to download and install on your site. The plugin has been completely rewritten from the ground up making it easier for website owners to create a powerful membership & community website through WordPress. This complete rewrite will also allow for more frequent updates in the future.

In order to help ensure the final release of 2.0.0 goes as smoothly as possible, we need your help testing this beta version. As always your feedback and testing is an invaluable part of each release, helping us to catch any last minute bugs.

Notable changes

This is a short list of the most notable changes, a more detailed list of changes will be released in the future.

  2. Redesigned and redeveloped the settings panel.
  3. Entirely new custom fields editor that beautifully integrates with the WordPress native interface.
  4. Introduced a live emails visual editor.
  5. Improved user directories flexibility and fixed issues with the search.

  10. Profile pages have been completely redesigned.
  11. Perfectioned profile pages tabs and account page tabs seo urls.

Download the beta

You can download the beta release for testing from the public repository on github and install on a local copy of WordPress ( please remember this is a beta release and should not be run on an active production site ). Any issues found can be reported on the support forum.

Download beta addons

The majority of the add-ons has been completely rewritten for compatibility with version 2.0.0. You can download a beta version 2.0.0 of each add-on from your downloads page by simply re-downloading the files attached to your purchase, the downloaded package will contain both the beta version and current add-on version.

V2.0.0 of all the add-ons is only compatible with v2.0.0 of WPUM.

Upon installing WPUM 2.0.0 on a website that had a previous version of the plugin already installed, an upgrade notice will be displayed. You must click on the “update the database” button to complete migration to wpum 2.0.0. This will not happen if you’re testing the plugin on a completely new install.
