“Group” is a general term that might not fit your site. If your members join organizations, teams or clubs, use that name instead.
Go to Users > Settings > Groups and set:
- Group Singular Name, for example “Team”
- Group Plural Name, for example “Teams”
The names are used across the site and the dashboard:
- group pages move to
yoursite.com/team/<group>/ - the front-end create form moves to
yoursite.com/teams/new/ - the profile tab, the directory buttons, the emails’ names and the dashboard menu use the new names
After changing the names, go to Settings > Permalinks and click Save Changes, so WordPress picks up the new URLs.
